The ‘Out of this world’ project continues to gather pace. Preparations are well underway for a successful launch late in the Summer term. The children have recently been performing mock predictions on the flight of the payload using a specialist website. If we were to launch on March 10th, the balloon would be predicted to land near Cambridge! They are all getting used to running fast predictions, ready for the real event in the Summer.
We are also now designing the inside of the payload that will contain the radio transmitter, Raspberry Pi and cameras. This all needs to be carefully fitted into the box to keep everything inside safe on its journey to the edge of the atmosphere!
