This year’s Acorns’ Christmas party featured a visit from Father Christmas, who read a story and brought a gift along for each of the children. They are very much looking forward to his next visit on Christmas Eve!
On Thursday afternoon, the Acorns then performed their nativity to the Juniors. Packwood’s Director of Music, Mrs Boutwood wrote the nativity play, “Christmas Time …. Told in Rhyme” especially for the Acorns. A traditional nativity with sheep, camels, shepherds, wise men, angels and of course, Mary and Joseph. The narrators had a key part to play in telling the story of the birth of Jesus, which they did confidently. Christmas songs formed part of the performance, which the children sang beautifully. A fantastic rehearsal, ahead of their performance for parents taking place later today.
