Boarders Enjoy Busy and Fulfilling Term

Over the past few weeks the boarders have started to enjoy the lighter evenings and slightly warmer temperatures enabling them to explore the beautiful Packwood grounds. Den building in the woods, extra rugby practice and climbing on the Space Net is evidence enough that Spring has sprung. The final term at Packwood is always the highlight of the year!

The Sunday activity programme has been particularly exciting. The boarders have enjoyed playing pool, shuffleboard and crazy golf at the Boom Battle Bar in Birmingham where Mr. Watt and Mr. LG were completely outplayed by most of the children! While this group were offsite, the rest were enjoying a silent disco along with a few who attended the Great British Shooting Show at the NEC.

Mr. Ford took a group to walk the Stiperstones. A particularly exciting feature of this included the opportunity to build snowmen, have snowball fights as well as enjoying the incredible views as a rare snowfall had occurred the day before. Some rosy cheeks and weary legs returned from the outing sharing their stories.

The Sunday activities concluded with a trip to Inflatanation and some baking with Miss Gill.

‘Sloppy Sunday’ has proved exceptionally popular. Here, the boarders have the opportunity of a Sunday lie-in and breakfast in House at a later time. Certainly a favourite with the girls in particular.

The boarders have enjoyed a busy and very fulfilling term of activities while building a strong community and strengthening friendships.
