Since our return from half term, Packwood Seniors have been thrown into some Packwood Award ‘Adventure, Leadership and Exploration’ activities. Our Year 7 students were given the opportunity to enhance their outdoor learning; paddling canoes along the picturesque Llangollen Canal; camping in the wilds of Packwood’s sixty acres; Trangia cooking their own gourmet meal of pasta followed by French toast; and gorge walking steep rock walls and cascading waterfalls in the stunning setting of the Rhug Estate, near Corwen.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the physical and mental challenges, navigating the hazards safely and the opportunity to create lasting bonding experiences with their friends.
