The heavy snowfall at the end of last term was the cause of great excitement and enormous fun with tobogganing, snowball battles and snowman building taking the place of games and occupying the children during break times. However, it also resulted in an early end of term and the cancellation of many events including the final school assembly during which prizes and awards won over the course of the autumn term would have been handed out.
Consequently, the first day of the new term included an extended assembly and prize giving. Individual winners included Genevieve B (Nicholas Cup for hockey); Daniel G and William C (Croydon Cup and Jenkins Cup for shooting, respectively); and George H and Liberty C shared the Cox Cup for cross-country. Maddie G won the Allen Cup for the highest number of Sixes points during the term and Hugo D scooped the Robertson Cup for the highest number of Greens. While McFerran/Wilsons lifted the Quellyn Roberts Cup, the overall Sixes Shield was decided by just a few points. All four Sixes enjoyed success in the various sports competitions but, in the end, it was Bradshaw/Boyces who amassed the highest total of points and claimed the trophy.
