Year 8 have worked hard over the last couple of years, under difficult circumstance, towards their CE exams which finished yesterday. With exams finished, leavers’ hoodies handed out – it must be time for a BBQ and water slide.
Y7 have had a great couple of days of adventure. A walk in the Berwyn’s, camping out at school and learning to canoe in Llangollen.
There was great excitement in Acorns this week as pupils returned to school. Year 2 have been enjoying their new, larger classroom whilst children in Reception and Year 1 have been making most of their new shared area, including an African Hut for role play and a reading garden.
It was great to see over 150 pupils return to school three days early to take part in the Easter Activity Programme. This proved to be a fantastic three days of sport, Packwood Award and co-curricular activities as well as a chance to spend time with friends as we continue to move out of lockdown.
Packwood pupil Amelia, currently in Year 8, has recently had her first book of poetry ‘Different Angles’ published.
