The whole prep school enjoyed a day of outdoor learning this week for our annual off-curriculum day. Pupils were divided into their four Sixes and competed for points based on their ability to work as a team. The activities on offer for junior groups included a Geographical treasure hunt, an art and design-based sculpture trail, creating an imaginary woodland creature and a photography challenge. Senior groups took part in building a fire, athletics events, orienteering and team time challenges.
The day made full use of our fantastic 65-acre site, including the lawns, spinney bottom and woodland. The whole event, a huge team effort by pupils and staff alike, was celebrated with photographs and feedback from the outdoors experts in the theatre afterwards. All pupils enjoyed the opportunity to work in groups of mixed ages and classes, as well as to spend a sunny day outdoors. Well done to Mannings Sodens, the emphatic winners.
